Talking What Mufflers sound good

Just for future reference, I would like to know what perf. mufflers give the car a good sound, and by good I dont mean those loud and obnoxious fart pipes that sound like a leprechaun with bad gas trapped in a tuba, I liked the sound of the exhaust on my n/a and I was just wondering what setup sounds good on a 951, btw I saw another 944 with a big *** tip and it sounded just like those(you know what I mean), it was a sorry sight. So should I just keep the system stock or is there something louder but tasteful out there??

I have a Magnaflow...sounds kinda raspy at high revvs, but other than that, it sounds nice. kinda loud, but that could also be the 3" exhaust system from the 4 to 1 header with all pipes the same length.

I've got the Fabspeed and everyone who hears it has liked the sound. It is loud though once you start getting onto the turbo.

I think it was Dynomax or magnaflo that I had on mine. I welded it to the stock exhaust. It's on xsboost's car now. I always loved the sound of it.

They sound amazing! You could paint your Porsche pink with rainbow window tinting and still feel like a man with a B&B underneath.

Speed Force Racing hands down. I quote myself... "With an SFR cat-back, it's as if my 944 took an italian vacation!"

hehe, thanks! Man, and the SFR comes in stock look! What more could you ask for! OH, and its like 12lbs "inside the box with its packing materials" . SFR said 17lbs, but UPS says otherwise! Very light!

Does anyone know how a Borla muffler would sound on a N/A 944 engine? I was considering something just to make the car sound a bit more throaty. Id just like to say, ive never heared a 4 banger that sounded as nice as a 944.

Also id like to dream when i buya 951...im gonna get every part that SFR makes...

I heard a B&B muffler on an n/a this weekend, sounded AMAZING. Really deep and growly at idle, loud and resonant on the freeway. Very loud at high RPMs but the sound is worth it.
