Thats right, if its warped you need to machine it, here its about $70 to have that done but its not really necessary if you can check the head and it is not warped...its about your luck i guess.

But first check the cabin heater valve to be open and try to do the bleeding again.
Also..is the waterpump working properly? when was it last replaced? belt nice and tight? hopefully radiator not clogged..? did you touch the radiator while the car is running? does it get warm?

Get a powerful halogen light, let it warm the engine for 15 mins before you start then enjoy it warming the crack of your *** as you replace the headgasket...

oh...and can we see the car?

Oh wait lol thats funny, i didnt read the title right...and giving the fact that it was beer money i expected it to be a 2L. But thats a 2.5L
I was wrong about the timing belt and stuff, DO pay extra attention on what you're doing...i may have also been wrong about costs and time necessary to have this fixed. Thats a 924S as you wrote in the title, not so cheap and easy to work on and fool proof as the 924 2L
Sorry for that. Good luck, i know very little about the 2.5L engines.

yes, you just have to follow the 944 rules for the car, do the timing belt before you try to start it.

it starts , it runs, it idles , it drives , it well .... just over heats. the engine is smooth and doesn't skip a beat while its running , I just cant seem to get coolant through the damn thing . I might get into it this weekend assuming its not 30 with a - 20 wind chill and give it a go with that heater control valve.

I had the same problem on my 86 944. The problem was a bad water pump. If you take the timing belt cover off which you will do soon now anyway and loosen the timing belt, you can check for any play at all in the water pump pulley and if there is any it's a bad pump. You need to change the belts and pump anyway.

I'm thinking I may just do that EWP mod I've been reading about and alleviate the whole inferior water pump problem and lengthen the life of the belts , it really seems like the more beneficial way to go.

I forgot to mention or maybe I did somewhere , I believe the water pump was recently replaced by the P/O along with the radiator, clutch , clutch master , clutch slave, 4 brand new tires, and brakes but I need to look at all my service records for the to confirm the wp

Most likely he did a poor job and you get no water or little water trough the engine. Replace the water pump and wish you/he didnt blow the headgasket.

we heres the game plan, I starting to get all the parts ordered . I will be doing the electric water pump mod using a davies craig EWP kit, at that time I will also be replacing the head gasket and doing a full tune up , plugs cap rotor and wires along with an oil change. that being said im also going to be using the 114 tooth 97 Honda accord timing belt with gates T41046 timing belt tensioner from the 92-98 sonata 2.0. I will also be changing the balance shaft belt. if anyone else has any other suggestions on anything else I cshould change while im in there I would greatly appreciate it , im fairly new to the Porsche 924s world, so any high fail parts or seal that should be replaced at this time that I don't know about would be great. I getting the head gasket kit so that should have most of the top end seals. thanks everyone
