Default Jon Milledge 8 v camshaft for sale

SOLD SOLD SOLD

JME S3-14 Hydraulic. Considered "DROP IN". Easy power!!

info from website:

"S3-14 944 2V Best power band 3600-6500 rpm. 900 rpm idle. .474 cam lift intake and exhaust. Stock base circles. Can use stock valve springs or preferably 944 Turbo valve springs for best results. 12-18 bhp over stock camshaft with stock exhaust. Needs stock fuel system pressure with Motronic ECU at click 1. Greater benefits from after market engine management or re-mapped Motronic. Tested against all comparable competitors camshafts and proven better. Can be used for Turbo also. Can meet CA smog tests as either NA or Turbo.

$850"

I'll take $600 US and include shipping & insurance in USA/CANADA. That's a savings of close to $300 US. Plus no waiting period.

Used for about 3000 kms. Made big improvement in mid & top end.

Will consider trade for 16v engine parts.

Note: I also have factory 8v cams in stock for sale. $100.00 US plus shipping for the factory cam.

I'm going to think long and hard about this one.

How much for the cat to 91324?

But once that cam got run-in on your engine, it would be ruined on another engine unless you got all new lifters, yes?

But I thought cats were required for CA emissions?

(p.s. to everyone else, a cam is a really good addition to a 8V 2.5!)

I'd jump on it if I wasn't so pessimistic about passing smog with it. I have resurfaced lifters...

You are safe. There's really no detectable wear to the cam. Just use assembly lube & high zink oil (Lucas made on the shelf readily available "break in" oil).

Start the engine & break the cam & lifters in at 2000rpm for 20 minutes. Done.

Makes the street car noticeably more fun.

You could always just adjust your dme -3 or -6% fuel to lean it out before you go in.

I found no problems with my 280* cam. Runs ok on original DME. Only real problem is the low (6500 rpm) max rpm. And it runs lean in idle.
