Default Need Help Fast!

I came home today and the car got most of the way home and at a stop light, it would barely move when I went to start up. It was like I was giving it half throttle when I was flooring it! Iv'e only ever had it stutter in the rain before and had reason to believe that was the AFM, could this be it?

What should I check first?

I had the clutch replaced with a turbo chutch 50,000 miles ago along with a new tranny then! Please tell me it's not these!

make sure the throttle cable did not slip out of the throttle cam.

How much was it raining?

Go through many large puddles?

Check to see if there is a baffle behind the dist rotor. Covers the hole into the belt covers. The crank pulley hole lets water in and the belts sling it around. Can get into the dist.

The other point to check is the electrical connections on the fuel pump. The wires can corrode from the connection back into their insulation and fracture.

What about the throttle position sensor?

You should (car off) hear a small click as you just start to open the throttle. If you have a haynes manual, they give ohmeter values fo open and closed positions

well, I'ma t work now. I drove here just fine. It has to be something electrical, and from what I've read it's about time to replace the tps anyways. I guess I have to buy one of these now, but hey, it's a lot cheaper than anything I was thinking it was!
