Send a PM to speedyS2 - not sure what group he registered for, but he is looking to transfer it to someone.

Sent the PM yesterday, followed up again today. It looked like to me that maybe someone else already got his registration, but I guess there's no harm in following up, thanks for the tip!

All square. Oil gauge was an easy lead swap. Aside from FOES, all belts and hoses, spent the weekend putting in new air filter, swepco 201 gear oil change, fresh brake fluid and have it all taped up for new pebble guard spray this week. It should be very ready.

I feel inadequate. Just bringing my .22. Its all I have. Now, mazdaverx, he has some serious artillery. I haven't seen if he is going, but hope so.

I'll be there Fri for the picture.

Later.

Replaced front sway bushings, installed 6-blade fan, and installed stock air box (in place of hot air intake previous owner put on) so far this week. Still plenty to do, but can't wait for next weekend.

I'm in.

Andy it will be great to see you again. To quote Gross Pointe Blank, "TEEEENNN YYYYEEEARRSSS MAN. TEN!"

Travis, you know you're my hero.

Brian B., are you going? If so I look forward to finally meeting you in person after all these years. I still remember reading your dad's name on the wall at SERE.

Yes, Tracey and I will be there although we're staying at VIR's hotel rather than camping. Looking forward to meeting you too!

Default Tech Inspection Form-Need help

Is there anyone local in the NOVA/DC/Baltimore MD area available to help tech my car either today or tomorrow for the fest? I did not realize that this needed to be done before the event (this is my first DE). I will buy you beer/compensate you for your time! I work in Columbia, MD 21045 so the closer to here, the better. Thanks in advance!

For those not participating in the DE we have a mountain run setup on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The plan is to leave out at 8:00 AM on Friday morning from VIR and drive up to Roanoke. We will pick up the Parkway there and follow it for 60 miles over the top of Apple Orchard Mountain - the highest point in VA and right by the Appalachian Trail. We'll take Hwy 501 down into Lynchburg and have lunch on the James River at the Depot Grille. We should be back at VIR by 3:30 - well in time to watch the DE finish up and do pictures on the track at 5:30.

I'm looking for a couple parts - if anyone has these and is coming to the Fest I'd buy them from you!
-Black leather owner's manual case for a late S2 or 968
-Gas filler door with original Alpine White paint and interior stickers and rubber bump stops
-Fuch center cap black with raised crest on it
-Lower metal support for an airbag dash that goes behind the cubby under the radio
-Long shot but Fikse wheel center caps for FM10 wheels - older style I believe
-Perfect black rear trunk carpet piece
