Does anyone know what this interior is. Precisely, what color, etc. The interior code is ES and its from a 1984 944.
It has the Porsche cloth scripts on the seat inserts. I believe code ES is a standard no-additional cost interior code. I just haven't seen it very often. Is this a tan interior? Grey-beige? Looks too tan for linen?
Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like light tan to me, maybe a touch darker but it could just be the light.
Definitely not linen. Here is light tan in my car:

Is that the porsche definition of the color? "Light Tan"? I know Grey/Beige was another color offered around this time that's sort of close to this.

I have a similar-looking color in my '87 S. I also have cloth script seats, though they aren't sport seats. I couldn't tell you what it's called, though. I'll have a look at my option sticker next time I get a chance and see what the interior code is.

While I don't know the exact colors for the 1984 944, "Grey Beige" appears to be the name for the light tan in 1984 Porsche models with the color interior you've pictured.
If that is the case, and assuming "ES" describes the interior pictured, code ES would likely refer to one of the following,*
Grey Beige - Cloth "Porsche," Partial
Grey Beige / Brown - Cloth "Porsche," Partial
*Following the naming system Jeff968 uses in the 968 Registry, here.
I do not know if in this case the ES code dictates between a black or brown dashboard, or if they all came with brown. I think the 944 only came with a brown dash in this combo, but I've seen some 928s and 911s with these color seats and a black dash. If the pictures I saw actually were indicative of what was available, Porsche would have supplied a separate code for the "Grey Beige / Black....." combo in these models. Therefore this leaves ES to refer specifically to "Grey Beige / Brown.....," assuming codes were used across models.
Additionally, manufacturer interior codes usually indicate the deviating color in a two-tone interior. Interior codes are not to be mistaken for the color code of the actual color(s). Use of the interior codes is typically only to describe what interior a VIN was built with, for the purposes of manufacturer records, invoices, and ordering.
FWIW, it appears "Brown" is also the Porsche name for the brown (headscratcher that one).
I think the sport seats would have been a separate option not contained in the interior code. They are rare in the early cars.
So it probably means..
