It's harder on the Turbo models but the easiest way to check is to reach in and grab the center of the shaft and give it a little twist back and forth. If there is any free radial play then your's is starting to go.

These should start showing up in the next few weeks at all the usual parts outlets and they shouldn't run out of stock any time soon. When you're ready, they'll be there.
Interesting. I think mine is starting to go since I hear and feel a slight to moderate clunk the in wheel. Really bad when I go over a speed bump. I'll have to check it tonight and possibly order one up.

Thanks!

I just bought one on Amazon before I saw this. To late anyway. My rack started clunking and it was catching a littLe. One of the connections is loose.

Hey are these still hard to find for manual steering? Mine looks super corroded and ready to snap.

Did anyone try what he said about swapping the ends ?

Travis, do you make new steering intermediate shafts for the 928?

Travis..are the manual shafts still available? since my rack is out of the car, and the rest is all over the garage floor, I'd be interested in one if they're still available. Thanks in advance.

The manual steering shafts never came to fruition.

I read some pretty bad reviews online about this Rennbay/Synamas steering shaft, claiming its very loos and unsafe.
Does anyone have experience with this product and can share?
Thanks
Haim

I sent one back because of the slop in it. I received another but afraid to install it.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping to get one.

They're made in China from what I understand.

I recently installed on (PS system), professionally.

I will check back in with updates once I get more mileage on it.

I'd hate to contact Rennbay and BBB, if the shaft fails or goes out-of-spec prematurely...
