I wonder what Doug Llewelyn from The People's Court is doing these days. It's too bad he couldn't be waiting for the reaction afterwards. That was always the best part.

I can't believe I just read the name "Doug Llewelyn"!!!

Damn that's funny stuff.

Better yet - we could get Doug Llewelyn AND Doug Henning to be there. When the court case is over, Doug L. could do the interview with Doug H. in the background saying, "It's only an illusion....".

What was the Bailiff's name? Rusty? Maybe you could get him to go with you and get your car!

Well, the case got continued one week until October 9th. He wanted to bring a witness. I guess he still doesn't understand how a "claim and delivery" works. There is nothing anyone or any witness can say that will change the fact that it is my damn car. I hope it works the way the court clerk said it will. It will be priceless to see his face.

BUMP this up to the front - I want to read the result of this story without having to wade through ten pages.
As an OT - northern Scotland is lovely at the moment - there are no midges and the the fishing is brilliant.
Sorry about the weather some of you on the other side of the pond have been getting lately and I hope no ones 44's have been buried under trees n rubble.

Right.....so get this. We go to court this morning, and the f#$%ing judge goes to church with this guy's parents! I tell him I have no objections to him trying the case, mainly because I don't want the car gone for another two months.

So we both go through our sides of the story. The paint redneck wants $1400 for storage on top of the $1350 for the paint job (on top of the $1900 I have given him already). The judge tells him that he can't collect any storage fees.

As far as getting my car back, or having to pay the dumbass any more money? Who f%^king knows. The judge said he needed to review some laws to be able to make his decision. So does he take a recess? No, he tells us that he will probably be able to decide by tomorrow. WTF?!?

Don't forget the CV boots getting cut, that's happened to me before.
