Obviously you have never seen chimps hunt. Yes chimps are omnivorous and will hunt and savagely kill other animals, including lesser monkeys. I have a really wicked gross story about chimps and ferrel cats at one of the primate research centers in Atlanta (I think it was Yerkes Primate Research center). I'll let it be unless you really want to read it.

But the kitty has a scoped rifle. He uses his feline stealth to sneak up to a good vantage point, then takes aim at the monkey.
No chimp can compete against that. The range on thrown feces isn't very good.
