Congrats, Danno, I'm happy for you man, sounds like you're happy, too. Girls like that are hard to find. Seems like a lot of relationships start this way though, so I hope we don't see this one in a couple of years go like the current "Girl Problems" thread......

 

OK, but it's not like it is a really cool story or anything, but it does demonstrate what savage brutes chimps can be.

So I had this friend when I lived in Atlanta who was working at Yerkes, I think on an internship or something. That's a big primate research center. So he said there were always feral cats wandering around the place. Well one time he witnessed one of these cats wander into one of the enclosures where they had some chimps. For some reason the cat wasn't skittish like it would have been around humans and wandered right up to the chimps. Chimps can be quite curious and also nurturing and one of the chimps actually started petting and "cuddling" the cat, which seemed to kind of like it. The chimp didn't really understand how rough it was being however and the cat started to wriggle loose and clawed the chimp. The chimp flipped out and started to savage the poor little cat, which put the other chimps into a blood frenzy. There wasn't much left of the cat.

Apparently this kind of thing happened more than that one time.

 

Yes, Heat was the movie with DeNiro and Pacino.

One time, I almost bought a autographed (from both guys) Heat movie poster for $1200 (had won some money playing blackjack). Sanity prevailed.
