Default Where does this go? - Koni sport hacksaw mod

I'm not sure where these white plastic rings go. They came with the Koni sport insert hacksaw conversion kit from paragon.

Thanks in advance

OK well i can't upload pictures because i keep getting "parse error".

You can see it at the top left of the image here:
http://www.paragon-products.com/Coil...ni_cup_kit.htm

It's an HDPE or nylon ring with some channels in it.

the disc keeps the snubber/buffer from sucking the seal out of the shock body.

it goes between the top of the strut housing and the rubber/foam snubber

right on. you will love the konis.

get a good feel on how to adjust the rears before you install them. the roads here did not like anything but the softest setting.

I didn't get the rears yet. I blew a strut and instead of paying to put back the stock ones I upgraded. The tears will be done over the winter.

Thanks for the help. Took it out today, but it needs an alignment real bad.

They theory of the wavy plastic washer, according to the Dutch, is that if the strut fully compresses the bump rubber could pull a vacuum between the shock body and the upper perch and keep the shock from rebounding.

14.7psi atmosphere pushing the vacuum together vs... 300 lb/in springs? hmmm....
I heard they were to project the seals from damage if the bumpers were fully compressed into the top of the strut.

They're included with quite a few Koni shocks or inserts whether the particular car uses a coil over coil spring, torsion bar or whatever type of spring rate. Both scenarios seem pretty far fetched but the Dutch think they're needed so there you go.

If you have the rebuildable struts you'll want to use

http://www.paragon-products.com/Koni...8641-1038s.htm

No need to cut or drill to install.
