Unhappy 1987 924S for sale PRICE REDUCED !!!! $2,600.00 !!!!

I don't want to sell, but I have no choice. 1987 924S. Guards Red, black, 5 speed, NO sunroof or rear wiper, factory 16" forged wheel option, factory rear anti-sway bar. I have owned this car for 9 years. I has just over 101K miles. I have gone through the engine and cooling system, replacing almost everything. All new suspension. New tires.
The reason I have to sell is simple, the original clutch just went out, and I cannot afford to fix it right now. My real estate business is taking all of my money. Since the clutch went out, the car has been in the garage with a cover on it. I start it weekly. I have never driven this car hard or raced it. I have always taken very good care of it. I have it advertised on the Porsche Club website. I love this car, but I need to have the money to feed my wife and kids. If anyone wants the 3 page list of all the things I have done to the car in the last 18 months, please let me know. I also have about 45 pictures that I can email to you. I really don't want to put in on ebay. I know that all of you guys out there care as much about these cars as I do. Hopefully, it will go to a good home where it will be taken care of as well as I have.
I am asking $3,200.00 or best offer.
01/25/2006 Does ANYONE want it for $2,600.00 ??!?
Thanks,
Todd

New clutch plates or for that matter a slave cylinder are not that expensive and you could probably install them yourself!
Sorry to hear that you gotta sell what you love.

Do it yourself!!! I can send you the PDF format factory workshop manuals if you need them. You must think I'm crazy for saying this, but I'm crazy enough to chance rebuilding a motor and installing a clutch. And, I didn't even know anything about that stuff 1 month ago.

I will try to post some photos. I have the mechanical ability to do the job, I just don't have the money. If I were to find the parts for a total of $250.00, that would be too much. Right now, all of my money is going to the basic utilities, food and gasoline. Believe me, if I could find a way to keep it, I would. I have a couple of deals in escrow, but they will not pay me until the end of February and the middle of March. There is a long time lag in real estate sales, unfortunately. By the time I get paid on those deals, the landlord will have tossed me and the family out on the street. I have already done the call to the "bank of Mom". She can't help any more.
No, the car cannot be test driven. You cannot get it into gear. It spit out the black rubber pieces on my garage floor. I was lucky that I was almost home when it started going out. I had green lights the whole way ( thank you Lord) and I made it to my garage.
Also, I don't have the time to repair it myself. With work and family, my days are full.
I will try to figure out how to post some pictures. I have a lot of extras in my garage that go with the car. I have all the repair records for the time I have owned it. When I got it, it had about 78K miles on it. Now it has 101,900. I have spent well over $4,000.00 on it in the last 18 months.

I hate to say it but your car will be worth far more running than broken. Do the clutch job yourself and make money by advertising a new clutch with the package. By the way, this is a great looking 87 924.
