OK ,,,last night after fiddling,I bought a new led and the batteries per blue s2.followed directions posted above and it is working great! brighter than ever;
5mm White (or any other color) LED 3.6 volt, 20ma 1100mcd RadioShack # 276-320
2 - Energizer watch batteries # 389
Approx. $10 (total cost for 2 batteries and LED
I was using cr1220 3v batteries(2) I think this damaged led and 1 battery was bad. Follow directions from rennbay,no soldering etc works great!Batteries fit much better too!
So check your batteries type and if you feel like it post what type you are using.It might help others.And which led type and color you used
