I think the 968CS has stiffer suspension, the side graphics, different wheels, I think it has some weight reduction and stiffer torsion bars and springs than a standard 968. Just pulling that off the top of my head its been a few years since I've looked at the specs.

I'd say that the M030 was definately on the CS cars, maybe a little more HP too.

Does the 968 or 968CS have the S4 or 944 Turbo S type brakes and limited slip?

as said above, there is no such thing as a 968s

However, a lot of guys who have supercharged their 968's have rebadged them as a "968s". Here's one for example (Eric Sandoval's car): http://www.968s.com

There is also the 968 CS (Club Sport) which as mentioned above is just a step above the M030 option. I believe the 968 CS also has a different steering wheel (like that on Sandoval's car).

There is a 968 Turbo S as well, which is essentially the "best of the best" of the 924/944/968 line. It basically is just a 968 M030 with a 8v 3.0L Turbocharged engine (968 bottom end, 944 turbo top end).

There is also the 968 Turbo RS, of which there is only 4. This is a stripped-down racing version of the 968 Turbo S

The limited slip is an option in the 968, although it does have the 6speed (or Triptronic automatic).

As for brakes, I believe the 968 comes with the "regular" 944 turbo brakes. I'm not sure about the 968CS, although it wouldn't surprise me if they're upgraded.

The S would only apply if there was a Turbo in front. Not too many Turbo S around.
CS has M030 and other power stuff deleted, same engine, but the car is quicker with the weight reduction.

There was a 968 Sport in the UK. It was kind of midway between the Clubsport and the standard car. The Peter Morgan book describes it.

EDIT-Jason you beat me to it!

I believe you all nailed it on the head with the CS. Pretty much the same as the regular but with different suspension and a lot of weight reduction.

I have never seen a Turbo S , which is not surprising considering there were only 14 built. I did find a website last year of an RS some guy in Mass owns. Imported it from Germany. He had pictures from NH speedway!

So do we agree that the 968S does exist? Was it shipped to the States?

Club Sport had mo30 as an option, it was not standard.
