The thought of someone actually praising this vehicle really bothers me

Can cruise to 70 in 3rd? In my cars I can be going over 60 when I shift out of 2nd! Of course wood is not necessarily light.

Actually...having a shift point for 2nd to 3rd in the 50s or 60s would improve the acceleration of the car, since that would mean a bigger gear ratio. That's one of the benefits of close-ratio six speeds.

And wood is never light. For comparable strength aluminum and steel are much lighter than wood.

Balsa is light. The pictures don't look like balsa.

The cars I was thinking of are 944, 944S, and VW GLX, none especially slow. I was thinking more of potential top speed.

Balsa is light for its volume, but to get the same strength would require more mass of balsa than steel.

On the back window it looks like the asking price is $1200, but he wanted $1600 for it. I also like "He works on CRX's constantly and is a certified mechanic". No doubt about that. I'm sure it requires constant attention.

My cousin is into the performance import scene, not the bling-bling crowd. He bought a Civic beater when he took his Supra down to install a big turbo and some other engine work to get him up to around 450hp. He made a mockery of the Rice scene with that Civic. He nailed a Wooden spice rack to the trunk, made a Folgers coffie can exhaust tip, and put a "Nauz" switch on the dash. I think he drove it until it quit running because he never bothered to put oil in it. I think he left it on the side of the road. That car was hilarious.
