What all are you looking for from the strut assembly? Do you want the springs too?

Thanks, Mike!

pa944red, we do not need the springs, though you are welcome to send them complete. It increasing shipping cost on your end, so it is advantageous to remove them yourself.

All, we are still looking for at least two more sets of 87-88 951 struts.

Skip, I'll trade ya a full set of toasted S2 struts & shocks for a pair of Koni Yellow front struts. It's a 2 for 1 deal!

Hmm... tempting. Fortunately, we have S2/968 struts coming out of our ears.

FWIW, unless those are an extra set, you'll be needing the strut cores to rebuild your own.

Notice that I said "front struts" not "front inserts".
You can't blame a guy for trying.

Not when you lube up with Swepco Moly...

Still not sure we are at an understanding on the struts. The 8641-1414S is an insert that makes use of the sealed strut used as OE on 87+ 944, all 951 (exc S) and all S2/968 (exc M030). The original strut is cut and drilled to accept the new insert. The removed items from the original strut are trash, and do not constitute a core or insert... I refer to them as guts or internals. If you have an additional set of complete struts, then you have spares. If you were thinking of turning in your as installed struts to replace them with bolt-in complete struts, then these are not the units you refer to (8641-1414S). There are other complete strut options, but not at the $150/ea price point.

Clear as mud? I believe I am confused, and not you.

Aha! You were joking on a Monday... my sense of humor only works on Wednesday from 4-6pm and every other Friday from 1-9pm. Please refrain from any use of levity during normal business hours and days of the week ending in "y", except as noted above. For official humor rules and to learn how to enter the "Try to make Skip laugh" sweepstakes, see the other side of this forum reply.

Lessee, Beavercreek... I now see you MUST have a sense of humor... [giggle] I myself grew up around Blanchester - 40 miles ENE of Cinci - nothing funny about that... just plain sad.

I have a stock 86 951 suspension with those shorter (not cut) soft springs.

After the last two auto-x's i've realized I NEED to upgrade.

How much paragon credit can you give me?

I'll credit you enough to know that nothing free in life is worth having, except beer. There is absolutely nothing wrong with free beer.
