Just one piece of advice I'll consider sage; don't do anything that might mess up your right leg. If everything goes to hell on you, you can always drive an automatic.

OK, No U-boat commander jokes.

I will ask why in god's name you bought a 944? The car Tom Cruise drove in "Risky Business" was a 928, not a 944. I own two 928s, a 944 and and two Audi A4 1.8L Turbos. I assure you there is a noticeable difference between these cars.

You know what, at first this was all a bit offending but after I thought about it for a minute my mind changed..

I want to tell you guys thank you, I could never had done it without ya..

Because of this opinion of the 924 I was able to pick up my 80 931 (S), with LSD snail, forged fuchs wheels, AC, 5 lug, 4 wheel disk, exclusive trim, 68k miles, in decent cosmetic condition..

For $400...

I have about 1300-1500 $ total into the car and it runs like a raped ape.. Betcha I could sell it for more than that
Straight pipe turbo whistle, breaks rears loose coming onto boost in 1st on pavement, amazing cornering ability, I drive a lot of vehicles and my 931 kicks almost all there asses in almost every way..

kills...
95 318is
01 impreza rs
93 camaro v6 5 speed
to name a few opponents that should be worthy by what you hear about 924's but its not even close, 931 accelerates, corners, and brakes faster than those hands down.. Actually I think it corners and brakes faster than anything else I've ever driven or ridden in, and it feels so good..

So thanks guys keep up the good work, I'm prolly in the market for more cheap 924 paraphernalia if anything pops up close..

Those pics of the bare galvanized metal in the car are just my first mock up, I beat that into shape like that on a railroad track piece with a ball peen hammer, it got pulled back apart from there again and more wire wheel, cleaned with acetone, and almost a half quart of automotive seam sealer went in between the lips of the plate and the car body.. I painted blue because that's what I had, auto duplicolor..

Suppose these pics tell a little of the cars story with me..

No it will never sit a winter like that again, it wasn't mine that fall, but at my place, and by time I owned it no way it could be moved (snow)..

That mangled throwing star looking thing is the turbo compressor wheel the way I got the car, pic actually taken before I owned the car while I was diagnosing for the PO..
