Default Where is the oil leak?

My 968 has an oil leak as shown in the pics below. The bracket sits below the oil filter, and it looks like the oil comes from the rear of the bracket and moves down to the front of the bracket (which is lower) before dripping on the floor.

I have cleaned the area (hence the two water droplets) and am pretty confident that the oil isn't from a messy oil filter change. Also, I don't think the oil comes from anything above the bracket, but I'm not 100% sure.

I can't find the bracket in PET, so I'm not sure what's behind it.

Any ideas?

I'm a very strong proponent in buying a flourescent dye tracer kit from an auto parts store. They're relatively cheap and using the yellow glasses and "magic" flashlight after driving the car for a couple of hundred miles with the dye in the oil, you'll seel where the oil leaks originate.

Lower balance shaft seal? probably not from the bracket. Lots of stuff to leak around the balance shaft.
