Default SLOTTED SHIFT ****

FUNCTION-FIRST Performance strives to reconnect drivers to their vehicles with the new SLOTTED SHIFT ****

Our Slotted Shift **** is machined from solid billet 6061-T6 aluminum to ensure that all shifting effort is transferred to the shifter, not lost to a flexing shift ****. The 2-inch diameter fits firmly in the palm, and is spaced high up to keep the shifting hand clear of the shift boot. The **** is designed specifically to fit Porsche’s rectangular shifter shaft, and attaches securely via high-hold cone point set screws. Mounting height is customizable, ranging between 0.25-inches lower and 1-inch higher than stock.

The distinct slotted design reduces weight and delivers a no-slip grip, all while effectively shedding away the heat that commonly plagues standard billet shift *****.

Shift boot integration is not an after-thought. Our unique collar affixes the shift boot cleanly under the base of the **** - it does not “puke” out the top, as with other aftermarket and early OEM shift *****.

Two color choices:
Silver (clear anodize)
Black (black satin anodize - available March 9)

Fitment is for manual transmission vehicles only.

Whoa!!! Nice!

Is that custom made? How long have you had it, and how do you like it?

Lightened? curious how that "feels". On my e46 the performance shifter was weighted and it feels and performs much better than the stock light one. Looks really cool btw

Mine is at least a decade old. It has a brand name on it under the boot but I forget what it is.

Up to this point it's the only one I've seen like it. Which has been kinda surprising. Glad to see someone producing a similar design!

I do like it, it disipates the heat from the torque tube fairly well, not perfectly. But it can be really cold on cold days.

Mine is on a round billet shifter though. It wouldn't work on a stock Porsche shifter.

If I didn't have mine, I'd probably buy one of yours. Overall a deal if you don't want to change out your shifter too. Since my complete set up was quite a bit more than it would cost to put your **** on a stock shifter.

Don't mean to crash your thread, just noting I have one of a similar style that I like. People should consider this for sure!

Mine without the boot on the shifter.

Yes, you bring up a valid point. The Slotted Shift **** is 190g, so it sheds weight vs a solid spherical aluminum ****, but is still heavier than the standard OEM unit.

Choosing a shift **** weight, as with most anything, is a compromise. Too light, and you're fighting the inherent notchiness in the transmission; too heavy, and shift effort is vastly increased. So it's a matter of striking the balance between shifter feel and shifting effort.

That said, it ultimately comes down to personal preference. As such, I'm currently working on a classic ball shifter design that will add some weight to the top of the ****. I will offer a Delrin unit in that configuration as well. Stay tuned!

Thanks for all the feedback, guys!

The black Slotted Shift ***** just came back from the anodizer and are now in stock. They did a real nice job with them and I think they turned out awesome! It's a stealthy and subtle look for your interior.

Announcing version 2 of the SLOTTED SHIFT ****...

We've moved to a 2-piece design (like the CLASSIC SHIFT ****), and Shift Pattern engraving is now available. Choose your pattern and whether you want paint-fill or a bare engraving.

The base shafts are now also available in either standard or extended heights.

These look really nice, and it's awesome that they fit the stock shifter without modifying it. If I hadn't already chopped up my shifter to fit a Momo **** I'd definitely be after one of these.

Yes, these are not "universal" shift ***** - they're designed specifically for Porsche's rectangular shifter shafts:

That's actually not a bad price for the product...

Would look great with the brushed stainless steel sunvisor clips you can get on Rennbay/Paragon/Pelican for about $40.

They look really well made.

They do remind me of the at&t logo, though
