Looking for more of the original lightweight "super seven" 1991 944S2s These cars are the same tub as the turbo cups, with the S2 motor and running gear. I have been able to locate 4 of the 7 cars. If you know where any are please PM me.

Which car was featured in the June '91 Excellence article? Carlsen Porsche Team, test driven by Bruce Jenner and Bobby Akin. I don't think Carlsen ended up running in the Firehawk series, so they must have sold the car before the season started?

The third car on your list, with VIN ending in #505, is with me. It appears to be in super original condition and I feel fortunate to have found/own/drive it.

Nice find John, you need to sign up with HSR and come race with us at The Savannah Speed Classic. They just started a Firehawk Class that I race with my former Akin-White S2 that was driven in the '93 Firehawk season driven by Dave White and Charles Coker. Unfortunatly not one of the "Super Seven" but one of 8 brought in by Holbert Porsche in 88 and converted from a S to a S2

John, How long have you owned your Firehawk? I own VIN 504, #51 from the Sandridge Team. I too feel very fortunate to own this great ride. On occasion, I will DE and raced it in PCA for a few seasons. Mine is still very original with a few changes made for safety reasons. Racers Edge Control arms (I have a set of new Porsche Motorsports control arms and 2 sets of Magnesium wheels. I added power steering and OS Giken Diff.
The older videos (With stock dash) are the Firehawk.

I feel these cars are great drivers that will increase in value, not that I really care, since there are so few of them (7) of them vs Turbo Cups.
I think your car is #5 that I have found. Still looking for more.

I have this mag and will scan/post it soon... does a real good job of detailing the specifics and what might be important facts as to whom these went to, and when.
FWIW, the Carfax on mine shows the first reported DMV registration history as 11/07/1994, with only 60 miles, in Gold Hill, Oregon. Might be a clue in there somewhere

Great thread, wish I had kept my 968 FireHawk.
Curious if any of the 944's have changed hands recently and at what price. They are certainly rare and should be rising in value, similar to the Rothman's.

Jeff, I went "off" at the top of the esses @ WG in #84 a few years back. My biggest code brown, ever!! As you know, the car is FAST, handles great, but the old hard rubber was a handful. Fortunately, it ended well.
I have seen the car below in many pics. It must have been a conversion, as it does not have turbo cup mirrors. Anyone know this cars race history?
