my manual steering rack 94434701500 (sport rack) the spline shaft is in pretty bad condition.

does any one know if the 924 spline shaft is the same as the 944 spline shaft?

dunno but ive got one or two 924 racks if you want to try

 

as long as it has a good / not worn out spline shaft.
how much do you want for the 924 (left hand drive) rack ?

 

id have to dig them out of storage to see what shape theyre in first.

sorry kids, but my racks are in storage at another house 2.5 hours away so it may be some time before i check on them

 

Does all the 944 manual steering racks are sport (015) racks or not? If they are, I guess the difference is the quicker ratio?

i dont remember where i saw the link but there is a place in CO where they do a modification to the power rack to make steering input more responsive by eliminating part of the ps valving mechanism. for a reasonable fee...about what a normal manual rack costs these days.
