So now that I've had a day off without 2 inches of rain and temps above 40.
Got the pan off, pick up tube is out. Now I cannot see anything visible on the tube but what would I look for? Any pics of a cracked tube?

The seal on the end of the pick up tube where it goes into the girdle on the bottom of the block was pretty hard and misshapen compared to the new one that pelican has pictured on there site. Which is being next day air sent today.

Got the oil pan back on, almost... Have to re tap one hole, of course it's one of the long ones in the back. What a pain with the engine in. Used sewing thread to hold the pan gasket in place by tying it off to the holes... Anyway, crossmember back on. Pass side motor mount of course is being difficult because I don't have 7 elbows on one arm. Should button up Saturday.

Still no fing oil pressure. I'm going to sleep on it. Try running the starter to prime it. If I don't get anything I'll have to make a decision. Sell it as is, or pull the motor. I don't have another car, now that my wife, thankfully can walk and drive again, she needs her car. So without my 944 working I may need to sell it to generate funds for another daily driver.

when my engine lost prime I took the oil filter off and pored oil in the hole(not the center one) that fills the oil cooler then down to the oil pump while turning the engine backwards to prime the pump. Still just cranking did not bring up oil pressure. Not until I started it up and run 900-1000 rpms for about 5-10 scary seconds did I get pressure. I think the starter itself doesnt turn the engine fast enough to pick up oil on a dry pump.
BTW, my oil press problem was old gasket sealant debris jamming up my OPRV. I had the same problem flare up again one year later. Hope it's done raising hell with me.
