Can I be a smart-*** and say put a few cinder blocks in there?

There is a fair amount in this forum about re-indexing the torsion bars. Do a search and I think you'll find lots.

For what it's worth, it's a pretty big job to do correctly (meaning lots of hours, but it's not very difficult).

You may be able to get an inch and a half at the bumper just by adjusting the arms.

This might help you, too.

If you're still confused after watching the video, then perhaps this job is beyond your skill level and you'd be better off taking it to a shop that sets up 944 race cars. Where are you located?

Any shop that knows anything about 944's can easily drop the rear on the "slide plates". Do that for sure before even thinking about adjusting the torsion bars. Small cost for the first part; big cost for the torsion bars (or a big job if you do it yourself for the first time)

Contact your local PCA region and ask for shops that do track tech inspections: http://www.kcrpca.org/

Aw too bad. If only you were within 30 minutes of a bunch of skilled P car wrenches...

Also, if you decide to pay someone for it, we have shops in KC that can easily do the job. It's a little drive, but well worth it to get to someone who knows these cars.

I just joined the KCWS forum myself and they seem like a good group, so they're well recommended.
