Would love to do this as my speedo is out getting odometer gear. But approx $70 postage for 18 leds to Europe is extortion.

You can get these LEDs from Amazon and ebay.

I purchased the following items from an Amazon seller (the fitment of these isn't great so if you can find better quality ones from a different supplier go for it, I had to get a few replacements for ones I broke trying to fit) -
1 x T5 B8.5D Yellow
1 x T5 B8.5D Blue
5 x T5 B8.5D Green
10 x T5 B8.5D Red
3 x T10 W5W 501 168 194 5 x LED 360 degree White LED

Thank you for posting this. It really helped me sort my dash out. I used nail varnish remover and silver tape. I fitted LED x 3 dash lights, I had to turn them around to get the right polarity.
Now fitted and looking really nice and bright.

I did the LED upgrade, but am not seeing the hi-beam or turn signal indicator. I checked the LEDs and the harness connections to ensure they were seated correctly.

I exclude some of the LEDs for warning lights because of upgrades (engine swap, harnesses, etc.). Do any of these LEDs need to be in place to complete the circuit for the lights I'm missed?

Do not see any visible tear to the blue film, etc.

Fixed

My takeaway is that the LEDs from superbrightled do not fit very snug, and require adjustment. For the turn signal indicator, I couldn't get a good fit out of the LED I was using, and didn't have an extra green LED. For this indicator, I just went back to the stock bulb.

My originals didn't fit very snugly either. The whole design is sort of half-assed.

But it can be made to work if you fiddle with everything a bit. For instance my illumination lights make much better contact with a 60-degree turn than the full 90-degree.
