Default Orange County, CA 944 Owners ?

Just wondering how many 944 owners in Orange County, CA. I live in La Mirada (border of LA and Orange Co.), and work in South Orange County (Aliso Viejo). I take the 5 fwy to and from work. I only see one dark grey 944 with D90 chromes, from the thousands of cars on the 5. (are these cars that scarce now?). i guess it is good that you dont see these cars on every corner eh?

Default Are we rare yet?

Dunno, I'm in San Pedro (a small suburb of Lost Angeles) about 20 miles north of you and we have at least five or six 944 running around town.

Well, you know how small Big Bear is. Well there are at least 3 full-time 944's (besides my 3... driving around my town. There is a 924S and a few 924's limping around too. Oh, and one more Porsche fanatic w/ a silver 951 that I see every once in a while durring summer.

Gesh! Here in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach seems to be one on each corner.

Got the 86 that had an engine fire for $500. Too bad it was an automatic. Cost less to put the engine in my 83 than restore the car. Had nice rims too! Just ask Scott.

I'm right next door to ya bro'...'86 Blk/Blk and Fuched. I dont see many near my home or office. Although, last week I was given the "bird" by a lady driving a Bronze TurboLook 911. I was in my '76 "E", and she appeared to be in a hurry for a facelift appt. (or at least needed one).

I heard that there are currently 1 or 2 '44s at the Ecoloy Center in nearby SFS...I am still looking for a complete rear mat and sun shade...

I go to the Ecology on Imperial Hwy often when I had my Celica. Did not notice 944's there since I did not own one before. Time to visit again!

I am in OC I work in Costa Mesa and live in Laguna... There are quite a few 944's in the laguna area all in immaculate condition. Older men driving them. There are about 5 or 6 that I have seen in the community. I see 4 968's on a regular basis (once or twice a month) three I see on my way into work every day. One of the guys has an excellent black 944 and black 928 parked side by side in his garage.

Yes, on Imperial...the '44s usually get picked through very quickly.
I think that its hit or miss. A friend goes there regularly and keeps me updated. Hes scored a few great deals for me for both Porsches. 2 weeks ago he scored a set of leather seats (front and rear) for a BMW. The damn things look brand new factory fresh, blk...$60.00...I think he paid $10.00 for my rear wiper assy compete. The deals are out there, its just a shot in the dark if you'll find a Porsche on any given day...we should probably alert each other when we discover something out there...Bob
