This is my rookie packaging that adds the weight I guess. With no transmission fluid in the LSD transaxle - 148lbs

Thanks. It does take time and effort. It is part of the service for a redone transmission though.

Totally understandable, do you strap the crate to a pallet?

Was that the one from a 944S you had listed on the 44Cup forums? If so, kind of funny.......that's what prompted me to ask. I'm running an S2/Turbo hybrid (S2 R&P, Turbo 5th). Was considering yours and add an Elite LSD if I stood to lose a notable amount of weight. I may be turning my Turbo into an S for next year.

Does anyone have a 968 6-speed sitting around? I think those weigh the most.

A buddy needs help removing his for the pinion bearing issue, but that might be a few months from now. He has 220 LSD.

Actually, I do not. I ship it as is and makes the trip with no issues.
I box it up so FedEx doesn't frown on the wooden crate.

No, it is not. This one is an ASG '89 944 tranny with a ZF LSD added to it.
