I would not worry about it, it will not do the turbo any damage if it happened to get that far in one piece. The turbo has to deal with other crud like carbon deposits that get blown off from time to time.

Take a small hose that will fit into the spark plug hole tape it to the end of your shop vac hose and use the small hose to suck up the piece through the spark plug hole.

@W.Bruckner : The spark plugs look to have an M14 thread size, so anything smaller than 14mm OD should work.
Good luck

This, and some borescopes have a little claw/hook attachment on the end as well specifically for this reason

I will use the borescope camera to figure out where it's sitting, I assume the tilted angle the engine is mounted means it's at the lowest point on right side.

You arent going to scratch the cylinder unless you are extremely rough. But whatever you are comfortable with. Dab of grease method is a good one to try

You will want to get this part out. I had same issue in fall ‘22. I had the injectors rebuilt, which included new pintles (this is the name of those plastic caps). The #3 pintle dropped off and into the cylinder within 5 minutes of start up. It probably would have been OK if it had made it through the intake valve , but I believe it got stuck, pinning the valve open. Up came the piston and it struck the intake valve. So head off, new valve, etc.

There is a retainer ring that the pintle snaps into. Once they are on correctly they are on quite robustly. I have worked in the cars for years now and not seen one missing- in fact until this incident it never crossed my mind that they are just hanging there.
