Default That's it, i'm selling my 944!

I can't stand it anymore. I am selling my '88 944 auto and getting a 951.

I am just about done with replacing the damper disc, after that I will replace the timing belt and water pump, tune up, detail job, then she's on the market!

Your first mistake was an automatic. The second was not getting a turbo in the first place!!

Good call. I know it's easy to get attached to your car. I loved my 85/5 but I always wanted more. I real happy with the decision to sell it and buy the S2.

It's always good to start off on a 944na then move up to a 951. At least thats what i did. I think if i had the 951 first i would of killed myself.

I'm not going to defend the auto, but-- seeing as you are replacing a 700$ part-as well as belts, WP.. drive it thru the winter and enjoy the "new parts" feeling until you can find a suitable replacement. I've been looking for the "right" 944/951 for over 10 month!!

I say sell the N/A first. With an auto trans, it might be a little harder to unload. You wouldnt wanna buy another car, then be stuck with your old one for months, etc.

That said, I did (almost) the same thing. Sold my 88 N/A, bought an 89 S2. I didn't want the turbo with higher insurance, and the lag! But from an auto to a Turbo...man will you feel the difference!

David, why don't you bring the car to our "project day" we could help knock out the wp and belts.

Why would you invest all that time and money in your car making it perfect then turn around and sell it on the market??? You are going to lose huge. Keep it.

I will be following your same path hopefully by the end of next summer. I plan to work my *** off this next year, and either sell my 924S or keep it hidden away at my dads garage and buy myself a 951. By then i may transfer out of my college in Trenton NJ and go back home and school somewhere local so i can work my finacnes a little easier. Im hoping for a '88 944 Turbo S or something similar.

2nd generation Supra? I was looking into one of those as a first car, that and a 5.0 Mustang. The turbo version of that car can really hustle!
