I agree with ERAU, there's no real point in splitting the current forums, but an "Events Forum" would, IMHO, work better if it was organized by regions.

No, I should have phrased the question better... this would all be in a new forum just for events and get togethers.... the current forums would remain the same...

I vote(d) for only a regional "events" forum.......

Why would we want to divide up what is currently a great resource for people with our cars all over the country/world..?.....

Ok, what you all don't seem to understand is that this is going to be in a completely seperate "Events" forum.... the question is whether or not we should have subcategories (the regions) or just have one single forum for it?

anyone ever watch control freak on Mtv2?

It feels the same way everytime someone posts a poll.. its great!!!

I still think a single forum for events would be better , at least at first. If it gets over crowded with posts then we can split. just my 4.5 cents.

It would work at first, but as more and more events are posted it would have to be split to make it easier for people to browse through the events in their respective area. So, why not start it already by regions to begin with?

because if its split at first into regions, there will not be many posts and people will loose interest before it even has a chance to get larger.

It doesn't matter all that much. My vote goes to Gary Coleman.... oh, wrong issue.

you have a very good point! you have my vote, single forum at first and if the need arises, regions.

I agree that it would be interesting to see all events in a seperate forum so we could see what is going on all over.......it could be helpful to event organizers as well to get ideas and compare other regions....just my .02

That's exactly what I was thinking. Then you won't have to browse through tons of posts that don't apply to you to find an event in your region.

But either way, I think the "Events" forum is a great idea!

Definately a good idea for an events section. Maybe to split it, john D could have a way of clicking a box when you post the event, and it is displayed to say where it is, but all events are in one forum???? Sorry John, even more programming now!!!
