Default vinyl wrapped my sunroof

Used a matte black wrap on my sunroof. Turned out pretty good I think. I will be doing the whole car after I wet sand the trash out from the POs paint job.

Looking good. You'll want a buddy to lend you a hand when you are ready me thinks.

love the body kit and flared wheels of the porsche in the 2nd pic... gives it some real Italian styling.

I've been tossing around the idea of doing a black or carbon wrap on the whole roof and side pillars for a year now, sort of like this:

You must really like a hot interior on a sunny Alabama day. Just sayin.'

Otherwise, nice work, and pls. tell us more about the type, source, cost, and installation of the vinyl.

I like the two tone idea on a 951. Would look nice to match wheels or something.

teckwrapusa.com, they have a sale going now, 50' x 5' about $150, gloss black and carbon fiber.

I have looked around at the different brands and have looked at a bunch of samples. I looked at 3M, Avery, Vvivid and Teckwrap. 3M and avery have a LOT of options of colors, metalics, etc. you need about 50 ft x 5 ft to cover a 944 and have a little left over. 3M and Avery will run you about $450 for a 50 ft roll. the vvivid seems nice and it is cheaper, around $325 for 50 ft.

this is a sample i just got from teckwrapusa.com and is $250 for 50ft. the clearcoat on my turbo has seen better days and this is what I am thinking about using:

the sample is actually on my guards red car. I was impressed with the way it went on and looked. it seems as good as the high dollar stuff. if you want gloss black or textured carbon fiber (maybe one other color), thay have a sale going for about $150 for 50 ft shipped, about $100 off. they have other colors, just not the huge assortment that 3M and Avery has.

they all have "air release" so bubbles are not a big issue. there are a lot of good how to videos on youtube as well.

I have yet to do a full car, but I will likely do mine in the teckwrap brand once it cools off a bit in the fall. This just seems to make a lot of sense because I cant see myself spending $2K on a paint job for a $5-7K car.
