Yes, they are the same. Turbo is different than NA, however.

First post...in 10 years. Wow, that's got to be a Rennlist record. Welcome to the active rolls.

And, as Van said, they're the same...p/n 951.606.113.00.

ha so true.

I'm on my third Porsche, second 944 turbo but this time I bought a '88 944 turbo s with 67k. Red with tan or linen. I just had a major service done but from reading on the board the TPS needs to be changed because it feels like it wants to stall and backfires sometimes. It's even lost power on the highway while in 5th gear.

The car has a cracked dash and the driver's seat bottom needs to be redone. A/C needs to be recharged and I have a small oil leak from the rear seal which is causing my clutch pedal to pulsate.

What have the people that just did your major service tell you?

When, exactly, does it want to stall/backfire?

Stalling...vacuum, air/fuel, temp sensor, AFM, FPR, FPD...

Backfiring typically indicates lean AFR...vacuum, temp sensor, AFM, FPR, FPD...

It would undoubtedly pay huge dividends to go through the factory DME/KLR test plan. Good luck...keep us in the loop.

Changed TPS and it's better but still not smooth as i remembered. still a little backfiring. will look at AFM next. The guy had a non stock FPR so I will check that next.
