Default John D. - Buddy list?

Is it possible to open a IM when you click on your buddy? I know I'm asking a lot. If you need some code done, let me know. This would be greatfully helpful. Even if this launched the chat window it would be awesome. Now that we can see each other online maybe we could facilitate the usability of Rennlist chat.

Thanks! You da man!

I figured most of the pieces are in place- You can see if your "buddy" is online, or if another user is logged in.. an IM component would seem to be a natural extension of this feature..
John D- Youre the best! thanks for everything so far!!

shameless bump.. Maybe I should clarify. We CAN SEE other users currently online- maybe a realtime "invite other online user" to chat button to take advantage of the chat feature?

In the old Novell days we could ping a user if logged in, regardless of location on the WAN, broadcast a sentence or 2 to that client or multiple clients simultaneously...

Uh.. am I getting into Administrator functions here??
