Any break in period on a rebuilt head?
What the subject line says. I had a full valve job with all the pickin's and everything was cleaned out thoroughly on my head. I don't imagine there is a break in since no new bearings or the such were installed, but I don't want to do something stupid. Thanks.

Hi Ribs, good to see you back again.
No real break in required.
I would just take it easy on the first few runs for say 500 mls.
Stay away from the rev limiter and avoid heating up too fast.
Give the gaskets a chance to "seat" .

When I put mine back together I dropped boost down to 5 psi the first day (approximately 100 miles), the next week at 7 psi (approximately 500 miles), and since then I have been running in between 10-13 psi. I finally got my gauges fixed though - damn 57 ohms of resistence from the battery terminal to the ground behind the battery - and now I can trust my gauges.
I do not think there is a real need for a break in period, however I do not know the history on why you are rebuilding the head. In my case it was because I had detonation from the chips the PO had in, so I wanted to test out the new chips and make sure my engine was still running solid.
