Default Looking for a PPI for my car

ok, well i've owned my car for quite a while, but i never had the inspection done on it. the only other car i've driven is my automatic 91 accord - worlds different than an s2 cab. what i'm saying is that stuff might be wrong but i'd have no idea cause i'm not even sure how a 944 is supposed to feel. i'd like someone to drive the car and look under it and see what needs to be fixed up. i intend to do all the work myself but i need someone else to do the diagnosis. does anyone know a good local person that i could go to for this? i'm willing to travel a bit but i'd be surprised if i couldn't find someone on the island who is capable of doing an honest inspection

I have a mechanic in Great Neck who is excellent. He's not a Porsche "specialist" per se, but he knows his stuff. He regularly works on Porsches, I bring my M3 to him as well, and I've seen lots of great cars there from Ferrarris and M5s to vintage Chevys and Caddys. Most importantly, he's honest. If something isn't broken he'll tell you, and when he isn't too busy he will usually show you parts that have been replaced and explain what was wrong with them. PM me or e-mail me if you want his info.
