Maybe it's because I wrench on my own car, but I don't like it either. I think the lighting/reflection actually makes it look better than it would in person - that light/dark boundary follows where the seam used to be, and without it it would look weird.

longhood has been an idea ive had for a few years...would be cool to have easier access to the radiator if needed. then you could make a plastic panel to hide it away again when the hood was open ![Stick Out Tongue](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
