Default WTB: AC/Heater in dash control unit

One of my young buddies had a small fire in his 87 944 the other day. The AC / Heater control unit in the dash caught fire.

Looking for the control unit and the first 5 to 6 inches of the wiring harness.

PM or email to mjc.llc@comcast.net

Thanks,
Joel

Do you know what caused the damage to the control unit?

If you don't resolve the issue first wouldn't replacing the control unit risk burning up another?

Good point.

Momentary current spike due to circuit overload [compressor, blower]?
