Not to lessen your mishap, but it almost looks as though there were no creases in the sheet metal? A good shop should be able to round it back out. Maybe even PDR? Good luck and I'm really sorry it happened.

Did they leave a note or are there any witnesses? Hopefully a body shop will make it disappear without charging an arm and a leg.

See if the bank has cameras in the parking lot. Security tape might help with the police report. Sorry for the crummy lunch break!

That sucks Marc! Will you be going through his insurance? He is completely at fault...if that matters.

Better it's in the front than on the back (ie: non-removable) fender! Maybe you can get a used fender somewhere--althought I know red is a rare color...

No, I saw it happen. He was a nice kid and I did not even get mad, his parents insurance will be taking care of it.
I dont think PDR will work, it's pretty tweaked.

Well, the only thing for you to worry about is WHERE to bring the car for a perfect front painting!? Excellent.

Just don't let them bondo over the dent. Get a new/used fender and have it painted.

That looks identical to the dent some kid put in my brothers 84. it will definitely get some bondo, and like my brothers crack when you bend the fender as you scrape the bottom of the air dam.

he had his nose painted to get rid of the stone chips too. so much for his original paint, but gold is tougher to blend than red.

Well, then I would insist with the insurance company on getting another fender, considering they can be had for relatively cheap prices...

I will INSIST on another fender, and if my Bumper cover is cracked anyplace they can replace that too.

it is a trade off. repainted fenders have thick paint which in my opinion looks worse than a little bondo.

repainted bumper covers usually peel too.
