Well after owning my 944 for a couple of years I have finally sent in my "application" and yearly dues. Looking forward to some NNJR events!

As a matter of fact. The company said All they need is a recipt from the body shop and a note signed by the proprietor stating that they re painted areas damaged by falling debris. I will have the car by wednesday! And yes I am looking forward to the Pricnic however the weather report is not looking good! Z-man I herd that it is very difficult to get into NNJR DE's, meaning they fill up allmost instantaneously.

Z-man my engine now leaks oil due to a bad rear main seal and I plan on replacing it sometime in the winter while doing the clutch, would I fail tech inspection for porsche club DE's due to this?

Christian:
The key to getting into DE's is to mail your application the first day the event opens! It also helps to volunteer for club stuff. (Bribery works well too!
)
Regarding your oil leak: if it is a significant amount of oil leaking, then yes, you'd probably fail. However, if you feel it will last until the winter, you should have no worries about passing tech.

If I were you, I'd get it looked at before the winter. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As for passing tech: we'd have to look at it on a lift to see how wet the bottom is. You could be burning some of that liter of oil through the engine: it may not be all at the main seal.
