Default Is my k26/6 turbo fried?

I bought this 1987 951 a year ago.

it's a franken 951 from 3 donors.

blue sunroof, nose piece and rear fender lips

gold the rest of the way round

motor from another 951 after previous owner overboosted and blasted a piston through the head... or something like that...

19psi about do it?

so i've driven it with a non working turbo - boosting about 6 psi on secondary meter for the last year.

recently i installed a lindsey boost controller, found the j boot broken so replaced it also. nice and red...

car makes great power now but when the engine is hot and if you floor it... there is a hestitation, a stutter, a pop sound, then full boost

on the track last week, we saw a little puff of smoke also.

under the hood... oil all over the air flow meter, j boot, and inside the intercooler pipe, and throttle body.

under full throttle acceleration, black smoking coming out the pipe

under regular driving, i'm using about 1 quart every 1,000 kms...

by inspection i suspect that:

1. turbo is spewing oil into intercooler, intake
2. oil supply pipe (from on top) has an o-ring / seal that may be leaking

thoughts?

and recommended fix?

1 qt/1000km is fine, that's the porsche spec IIRC for acceptable oil use.

if theres a lot of oil then its probably turbo oil seals gone bad. might also mean your rings are going out and blowing oil into the PCV system.

i have pretty good compression numbers 140 psi across the board. is this considered low for 87 951 with about 90,000 miles?
