Default 944 center console wiring

So when I originally purchased my 944-T 7 years ago, it didnt have a face plate for the head unit that was in it and it wasnt until tonight I decided I was going to remove the old headunit in there and put one in that actually works. here is what I found when I removed it...

DOES ANYONE have any idea what all this mess is for? there are so many cut and exposed wires I dont even know where to begin. Name: unnamed.jpg

Probably a really badly installed aftermarket unit at some point? Disconnect the battery when you mess around with it.

You need to get a set of WSM at http://www.2010.cannell.co.uk/manual...s_porsche.html

Included in these manuals is the electrical system drawings, this is where you will have to start.

Good luck with that! It doesn't look too bad though but make sure you have your test light handy. I'm guessing the exposed wires are speaker, power, ground, and acc.

Good luck. Mine looked like that but I had another 944 I was parting out so I cut the radio harness out of it and spent an hour or two matching wire colors and soldering it in.
