I first went with a Bursch system, headers and exhaust system, but after a number of years the muffler is starting to rattle.

I recently replaced the header with a system from MSDS that was ceramic coated and now I'm replacing the exhaust system.

I forgot to mention that my '89 944 NA is a daily driver and I know the sound of the exhaust will be rather loud.

I'm fine with that, I just completed a rear seat delete and added some sound deadening material and new felt carpet.

And if the sound is too load I was thinking of replacing the catalytic converter with a resonator to see if that helps mellow out the tone.

I'll keep you posted...

I hope it's worth the wait...I'll keep you posted.

I placed an order for the SS cat-back exhaust system with Broadfoot on March 20th and was told it would ship in a few weeks.

It's been a few months now and I haven't received it yet.

I'll keep you posted...

Unfortunately that's normal with Broadfoot. Albert is very knowledgeable and skilled with 944's but his customer service and timescale skills leave a lot to be desired. You'll get it and be very pleased with it....eventually.

I got an SS cat back exhaust off of ebay for my daughter's car - the stainless resonates more than the aluminized steel - on some cars you get a real "ringing" tone that can be annoying (like on my 59 cad)
