Question What transaxle fluid do I use???

I'm driving an 85.5 NA and I'm not sure which transaxle fluid to use. I've read that you should use different fluid weights for limited slip as opposed to non-limited slip. I’ve also read good things about both Swepco and Redline. Anyone got some suggestions.

Thanks

I just run Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil. I'm not too sure what the weight is, it don't say. I don't think that you have LSD either, so it shouldn't be an issue.

See Paragon tech articles: http://www.tech-session.com/kb/index...x_v2&id=31&c=4

Redline RL75W90NS for non LSD cars, or RL75W90 for LSD cars - both are GL5 oils. If you want to stick with GL4 oils, then RLMT90 see the Paragon Tech articles for an explanation of GL4 vs GL5 etc.

Just changed mine last week and am VERY pleased with the improved shift quality, etc.

think your car should be using 75/90,
older cars may benefit from 80.
but GL5 specuification

I used redline and mobile one. I got the redline for less money and works much better. You will feel it right away.

redline gl4 or gl5? it seems like gl4 is the safer stuff to use according to tech session so that's what i was going to get for myself

Thanks for the info, time to go exchange my Redline 75w90 to 75w90NS! Or maybe MT90...whatever, I'm out the door.
