Nice job figuring out the problem. Must've been quite an impact to bend the torsion bar carrier!

A bit hard to see in the picture, but the dusty one on the right is the bowed one. The ends are bowed aft.

Looks like someone did the spring plate bushings on the left one. Elephant Chucks rubber bushings really helped my car.
