I sent Josh an e-mail saying that I liked his posted idea (uumm.. did ya not get it? No reply). I even bought an RC car ~ though I've wanted one for a long time anyway.

In anycase, lets find a weekend and get planning. I have tons of free time and can do a lot of the planning (or help) as necessary.

I am interested attending in a meet and should have couple of RC cars too, including 1/6 scale 1.9 hp WRC Peugeot! Saturdays may be better days for me.

Hey Brian - I tried to reply to your email but it said that you did not have a yahoo accout - so I replied through the rennlist email sys. Thanks for offering to help - since no one had really commented on that old thread - I figured maybe there wasn't any interest...

Anyways - I am up for a grill out type gathering - August 23 would work fine. This RC car bit is more of a hit than I thought it would be I've sold my cars off - will have to pick up another now

I will have my car by then, pick it up on Aug 1 in chicago and bring it home. If you don't mind a new p-car owner stopping by I will put it on my calendar.

I am totally confused about where the meet will be, and if there will be any actual driving or if this is just a social type gtg.

I am in Virginia-Highland if anyone is nearby let me know.

I read that thread and figured I'd start a new one. I got tired of trying to find the original thread. The 23rd is perfect. I would be off and so would my wife. As far as the r/c cars I'd have to see. I am in the process of upgrading the stock brake system on my wifes car so I dont know what the $$ situation is. I just need to know a time and place and I"ll be there.

lol, I got my 1/10th scale electric car for $30 off eBay ~ I hope people can afford that! It's the cheapie/non-upgradable type (at least not easily, I'm looking for a better motor right now) that doesn't allow for crystal changes ~ hope noone else is on the same freq.

So, 23rd only? 23rd and 24th? Just a social GTG w/ BBQ, BSing, and a quickie photo shoot? A shortish drive to other good photo ops? A shortish (45min~hour) rally? Impromptu "peoples choice" car show?

About food, make a manditory 'donation' to pay for the meat and then just bring chips, beans, potato salad, etc al-la pot-luck? BYOB and BYOC (bring your own chair) should be obvious.

Just for 924/944/968 watercoolers or any P-car (or any Rennlist member)?

Time - 11:00 AM EST - 1:30 ish PM
Location - Norcross, GA at my house
Cost - $7.50 to cover hamburgers/hotdogs/misc
Bring - drinks/chips/sweets/P-car
Optional bring - RC car, parts for sale, good articles
Events - Grill-out, B-Ball, People's choice car show, Photo Op, RC car autocross
Possible events based on interest - Short Rally
I'll provide - Meat, napkins, cups, tables, chairs
Special needs - cones for autocross, nice weather

Sounds like a plan to me... I'll help with the Rally should people be interested. Can we just use empty beer bottles/cans for autoX cones? I got plenty of those laying arround.
