Air Flow Meter
I recently purchased a 944 AFM from an '1986 944' to use the internals for in my 944S AFM. BUT. The AFM I received is from an early 944. Will this cause problems? I wanted to change the track out as well. My 1986 944 has the updated AFM, all three have different numbers marked on the internal boards.

To answer my own question, NO it won't. The spindles are different sizes, they require different voltages. The only parts which interchange are the plug assemblies, which require 4 small screws to be removed... Yes, I broke the brass arm off of mine. Shucks. Anybody want to rebuild their early AFM? The internals of this AFM are pretty clean looking, I'm thinking they were replaced at some point in time.

I found mine on e-bay. The guy selling it goes by scoobythecoreman. had a bunch listed about 3 months ago. I saw the bmw one and it should work. There is also one listed for a 85 944. Don't know if it is late or early though. He does have the bosch number though.
Anyone have the Bosch OEM part number for a late 85 and on AFM?

Any of them have decent tracks still? What I actually need is the brush assembly, plug assembly, and the ceramic board. How much do you want for one of them?
