Default Need Brakes ASAP

Hello, I have a 1985 944 NA and am in need of rotors and pads. I have sourced a set of Wagner MX443 at my local Advance Auto for $44.99 F/$36.99 R. And also Tirerack Hawk HPS Street Pad for $98 F/ $79 R. My intent is to use the vehicle as a daily driver with maybe a track day...or two lol. Wondering whats the consensus is on the fourm?

Thank You,
Adam

With Hawk HPS you should be fine for your intended use IMO.

based on very specific experience, I would strongly (!!!) encourage you to stick with the OEM pads, even at about 2X the cost. the non-OEM pads I used (several brands) were very grabby and I ended up changing them out after a few hundred miles each time. So, it's much cheaper to get the right pads the first time. And, remember to change the brake fluid also, it's hydroscopic

William, do you recall what brand those were? I've used the OE-spec Mintex pads since 2005 and they are just about to wear out.

Went with OE-spec pads when I did mine about 3 months ago.
