Default Early offset rear spacer removal

So I was trying to adjust my parking brake and found that there was no access hole after taking off my wheel. I think that the OE spacer found on early cars is covering the access hold in the hub and rotor, but wanted to make sure I had a correct understanding of how everything is assembled. I think it is:

hub->rotor->spacer->wheel

If this is correct, then the spacer is either mechanically attached to the rotor in some way or is rusted on pretty well. Should I just take a mallet to it to take it off?

It will come off with a few good taps, it is not attached in any way. It just slides on the studs.

Awesome, thanks. At first I thought it was a hub over rotor arrangement, which would make me .
