That's not bad for $4500.

Look at the trip odometer, he should have driven it another 33 miles and then took the pic.

If I lived in the southeast (and hadn't just purchased a 951), I would.

Me too!

One owner car?

"You are bidding on a one owner 944 Turbo that was donated to a charity and then brought at an auction by a dealer in Michigan [snip] I traded my 1991 Corvette for this. "

Uh I'm no mathematical genius but I count at least two owners... maybe three... and

"I was told the engine was rebuilt and the timming belt was changed the within the last 10K miles"

well a used car dealer told him so so It must be true!

I smell a money pit.

I still wouldn't trust it, no matter how cheap it is. "In addition, there is some surface rust from age " These things don't just rust from age and if it's under the paint you have no idea if it's spreading or not.

It'll cost a lot more than $2500 to put a 951 engine in there.

Obviously! I know quite well that by the time a person is done purchasing and installing an engine in that one it will most likely be up in the 2000.00-4000.00 range - aside from the cost of the car... most people like to take the quick 'n' eeasy route. But you see, there are those who take pleasure in building it up and bringing it back to life. for me, the worth of it all would be the journey culminated by the end result....

I just paid 1/3 of that for my new project... and all it needs is a timing belt (valves, belt, rollers, bearing, rod, piston)

Its cost depend on how many spare parts you got and how much work you do yourself. I just love wrecked parts cars......

I have over $25,000 in my excellent to begin with low mileage $2!

Cheap, inexpensive, low cost, and low maintenance should never be used in the same sentence as Porsche. Unless the sentence begins:

I just traded my porsche and got a _____________ honda (toyota, etc).
