Default S2 Late Model Spoiler vs Black Rubber Spoiler

We all know we love to do modifications to our cars sway bars, 968 mirrors, snub noses, tailight modifications, rear difuser etc etc

I am wondering why not very many people do the spoiler upgrade to the S2 bridge spoiler? Often people complain about loving the front end (especially 951/S2) but not so much the rear.

Is it that the parts are too rare? I assume so, especially because this only came on 91 S2 I believe. Or else it must be very costly.......$$

I was just curious :_)

I'd go for the 968TS rear spoiler, if I've got the €€€..

It's hard to find and expensive. KLA was making a low cost 968 style bridge spoiler but they discontinued it due to quality control problems. Until someone comes up with a low cost solution the only way to get one is the complete hatch of a 968 of a late S2. There aren't many of those around.

Hmmm...Kgain, do you park in a garage?

I would stay with the rubber one.

I doubt it on this board, but ive noticed a lot of people are not familiar with the S2 spoiler. I often get asked where i got my wing. When i say its stock the people always wonder why they've never seen it before. Except a couple people know them from the 968s. Personally i think it would be my first upgrade if i ever had to get another 944 without one.

I traded my old hatch and some cash for a 968 hatch with the updated spoiler. I still can't believe the difference it makes looks wise. I love it! Now if I could only find a 968 RS wing with the same kind of deal...

Regards,
Yeah, I was looking into one for the new S2. I saw that it wasn't on the website anymore. Tifo called them and got the scoop. He has one on his car and I think it looks great.

Thanks MTM!! This is the same spoiler that KLA was selling. Now I can put it back on my list.

And BTW, welcome to Rennlist!

I love the look of the bridge spoiler. The rubber spoiler looks somewhat dated in comparison.
It will have to wait until I can find a replacement for my 86NA, though.

Hi!
Basicly it´s not a "968" spioler.
It´s a late 951 spoiler, or S2, if you want..

Many people think it´s a 968 thing, but the wing was on the 944 before 1992 =)

The rubber spoiler looks better on a 944 than the 968-style wing does.
