Default WTB: coilovers or like new used shocks/struts for '90 S2

Before purchasing new, I'd like to see if anyone has a used set of coilovers or shocks/struts for my '90 S2. Let me know, thanks.

Good luck in your search, but if your unable to find a used set were actually having a sale on the H&R RSS Coilover Kit now. For more information Click Here.

What's your price point? Spring rates? I have a set of slightly used KW V3 front & rear coilovers I might be selling soon.

The H&R setup is nice!

For price I'm hoping to find something in the 500-700 range, but might be persuaded to spend more if it's a good deal. Any spring rate is fine with me.

Ah ok, doubt you will find any "real" coilover (KW/Moton/H&R/Cup,etc) sets used for less than double that price. Maybe the GC sleeved sets are around the upper end of your spend limit if you find them used.

You say you would consider stock struts so why not just rebuild your fronts with the Koni cut inserts and replace the dampers at the back.

I have a set of rebuilt Yellow Koni M474 shocks. Rebuilt by TruChoice to factory specs. Not installed yet. They're like new for sure. And probably a good spec for your S2.

Turns out I am far away from getting to the shocks on my S as I now have to dig into some electric issues.

$620 plus shipping. That's cost price of rebuild.

What dampers do those RSS coilovers utilize? Bilstein?

I read about these. I just have to price them out to see the actual cost once completed.

Do I still need springs with these?

Valeno, yes you need the springs. I have a set of M474 springs to go along with them, but I'm sure you could use your current ones too.

This is how they came from the rebuild. They have not been installed yet. This is how they look when you remove them from the car too.

interesting. I haven't really played with them, just put them aside. This is how they came "rebuilt" from TruChoice. And I tested now, when I press down they don't rebound. When I pull them all the way out and push in, they don't rebound.
So I guess they screwed me over...?

Thanks for the catch robstah. Learn something every day. I sent them an email just now and will be calling them tomorrow. I received them in May, so it's been a little while. But they were always "compressed" so I never thought about it...
